Black Warrior Riverkeeper program approved by the Waterkeeper Alliance®, as the 72nd "Keeper" program.

    June 2001 - Third Annual WATERKEEPER ALLIANCE Conference, 

(Pensacola, Florida)

A conference for the 65+ Waterkeeper Programs to allow new Keepers to learn from more experienced members of the Alliance, enable all Keepers to exchange successful advocacy tools, build a greater sense of Waterkeeper “culture” and reinforce the regional governance structure of the Alliance.  Roger Conville and David Whiteside attended as representatives of the prospective Black Warrior Riverkeeper.  Mark Martin and David Tidwell attended as representatives of Village Creekkeeper.
